I wouldn't normally give a 5 star rating for bar food, but I must! I stopped in for lunch on a Monday. It was a nice quiet atmosphere and the burger and fries were delicious. I would definitely go back.

Great food. Great menu selection. Perfect environment. Please try one of burgers. They are fantastic

The food was delicious! Nice atmosphere for a bar in WI. Tight dining area inside, but does have an outside patio to use during those nice WI summers! Beer selection is what would be expected of an Irish Pub. Will visit again when in town.

Good place to try Irish food. Cranberry Irish Soda Bread-excellent. Irish Reuben Boxty with turkey was delicious. Samples of different beers - pretty good. Not. Beer person but fun to try. Friendly & knowledge about the beer & things to do.

Great place and great food. The place is just clean and the food is great. The menu is fit for everyone's taste and the food has a clean, fresh taste and look. Kudos to the guys who found this place. Prost! I will be back and will bring people!

Very good meal for the family. Everything was good but the star of the menu, in my opinion, was the Corned Beef and Cabbage. Maybe the best deal on the menu is the Dublin Trio. It includes 3 good sized portions of Shepard's Pie, Irish Stew and Corned Beef and Cabbage for about $12. This was an awesome choice because you can try 3 great Irish meals, instead of committing to just one! This meal will fill you up! The waitress said the best seller was the Shepard's Pie but I found it to be tasty, yet a little too dry. I did like the melted cheese touch on the top of the pie however. The Irish Stew was also good but I have had better. Like I said earlier, the winner of the Trio was the Corned Beef. It had huge cubes of tasty, perfectly cooked beef along with the cabbage. They also added a flavorful cheese sauce to make it even better. I would also highly recommend the Guinness Onion Rings as an appetizer. Service was a bit slow, but friendly and helpful.

What a great place! Had the pleasure of joining them for football bingo. The drinks are reasonably priced, with great specials; and the staff is pleasant and funny.

Average service, nothing special. Good, comfortable atmosphere. Food wise its actually pretty disappointing. Their Irish fare is all great, but beyond that I haven't been impressed. Burgers are expensive and not all that flavorful. I tried the "famous cheese curds" after seeing many rave reviews- HUGE disappointment. I couldn't even taste the cheese, all I tasted was grease. Conclusion: stop in for drinks, but don't plan on having a meal here.

There are very few instances in which the service alone can ruin a restaurant for me, and this was one. The hubby and I stopped in for a Sunday dinner at about 7:30pm, and were seated in the bar area of the restaurant on what seemed like a very slow night. We were greeted around 5 minutes later, ordered drinks, and placed our dinner orders when we received the drinks, another 10 minutes later. At 8 o'clock, (fifteen minutes after ordering the Guinness Beef Tips), the waitress made her way back to us and told us the kitchen was out of one of the essential ingredients. Fifteen minutes after placing our orders, and half an hour into our visit, we were asked to find a different menu item. Honestly, I might have been more inclined to stay if they'd offered a token gesture (free drink? dessert? anything??), but there was literally nothing else on their menu we wanted to wait an hour for--even if they had offered an apology (which they did not). I'm still just dumbfounded trying to figure out why it would take 15 minutes after putting in our order on a slow night to figure out the kitchen can't make the dish we ordered. Needless to say, we decided to just pay for our two beverages and find another restaurant nearby. The kicker was the additional 15 minute wait for the waitress to bring our check. Nearly an hour after arriving, we finally got our drink bill ($12) and left. I read all the great reviews for this pub and had high hopes, but I'm sorry to say it just wasn't their night tonight.

Great first experience! Bloody Mary with Sriracha vodka was delicious, first time crab cakes and we were not disappointed. The W.A.B.L.T was amazing, the herbed aioli and avocado spread gave the sandwich so much flavor.

Tuesday's= BBQ meatloaf! Don't miss out on this one, guys! It's really something else, a "loaf" lol of meat, tender, flavorful, packed with bacon, and topped with onion strings with a side of their awesome sauce (Guinness gravy) over some marvelous mashed potatoes. Made by a super cool dude who shall remain silent. Today I had Shepards pie again, with the reuben rolls... Both were excellent.

We visited Dublin Square on a Friday night around 9 in the spring. We were looking for late evening eats that weren't bar food (surprisingly hard to find in La Crosse), outdoor seating and food that was reasonably priced and good quality. Thank you for the pleasant meal and great service. Extensive choice. Good experience. I will be back.

If there were 100 stars, I'd give them 100!!! This pub is hands down, the best Irish pub I've ever ate at! We had the Trio (corned beef and cabbage, shepherds pie, Irish stew) it was exceptional! We also had the Reuben with potato pancakes as the "bread." It was the best food I've eaten in a long time! If you need an amazing Irish Pub, GO HERE!!!

I got the Dublin Trio and it was delicious! It's a great sampler plate of a few of their best items. Service was great too!

Decided to drive up to La Crosse on a nice fall day and take in a scenic drive. Not only did we get the perfect day for it with an explosion of fall colors, but we also were treated to downtown La Crosse which was surprisingly fun. Lots of bars and restaurants, a great riverwalk, and a historic feel that was just what we were looking for that weekend. Dublin Square was where we ate lunch after seeing good Yelp reviews, and I'm now inclined to give back the same. I could see it being more of a college bar late at night, but during the day it had a fun sports-oriented atmosphere with plenty of large TVs to watch the various college games, friendly bartenders, and food that enticed you to try more. This is definitely one of those places where making a decision is really tough. My wife and I labored over what we were going to have for at least 15-20 minutes, because almost everything on the menu sounded delicious. The plates being served around us didn't help either, as they all confirmed the menu descriptions. We ordered some beers to start, and I decided to get one from the hometown spot, Pearl Street Brewery. The brown ale I had was delicious, nice and flavorful without being too thick like some of the fuller stouts and porters. We ordered some cheese curds next, also didn't disappoint. Finally for the main course I had the Bangers & Champ and my wife had the Fish & Chippers. I was extremely pleased, the sausages had a great seasoning, the mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth good, and the only drawback was the relatively bland seasonal vegetables. I tried a few bites of my wife's fish, it was also fantastic. Easily on par with some of the better joints I've been, and both plates offered hearty portions. As much as we both liked our items though, I'd try something else next time just because of how good the entire menu looks. Prices were reasonable, with most entrees clocking in at $10, and our total bill being around $50 which included two lunches and several beers each. My only knocks are that it could be a little brighter inside and a little more clean looking in appearance. Nothing was "dirty" persay, but it just had a little too much of a college feel to it. That might be part of the aim, but this place has a lot of things going for it and I think they could just touch up a little bit and put themselves on the next level. Granted, the day we were there was parents day for the university, so there were people of all ages dining, but just a thought. If you're downtown and are in the mood for a satisfying meal, you'll want to give these guys a look

We have an Irish place back home so I wasn't unfamiliar with this type of food. But in comparison, this place is way better. Good food that doesn't taste as greasy or heavy. Good little kick on different recipes. We really liked their loaded potato skins. Good sized portions and presentation. I had the bangers do champs and it was just right but I still left behind a little bit of the delicious mashed potatoes (I'm just like that). My husband had the shepherds pie made with lamb and that had some great taste and kick of spice. Our server was very accommodating and pleasant (I hope we tipped him well) even with some of my mom-quirky requests. The only thing is that the space that the inside space was a bit small. They had a larger outer dining area that everyone took advantage of (no doubt) except us as the wait would have been a while and we had a hungry 15 month old toddler. Hope you enjoy this place too!

Went to lacrosse searching for the Golden Egg roll, it's closed and for good reason apparently and that led me to find this wonderful establishment. Great food wonderful waitresses and perfect ambiance. First trip and will not be the last

We came with a large group and the owner came and had a great conversation with us and was genuinely interested in knowing more about our group. The food and drink specials were excellent and we had a fantastic time and were provided with superb service. Come here and have a great night with good company!

This place is my favorite restaurant in the La Crosse area. Order anything, it will be delicious. My favorite is the fish and chips. I bring family and friends here when people come and visit.

Great atmosphere on the patio, our waitress- Berry -was fantastic, food great and overall experience was one to replicate!

  • Trevor M.

My wife and I went here on 'date night' and had a good enough time, but it was so busy it was hard to have a conversation. I had the Dublin Trio which is a combination of there Irish meals but smaller portions. It was very good food. One was a Shepherds pie, then Irish stew, and lastly Corned beef and Cabbage. It was good and I had plenty to eat. My wife had a larger portion of the Shepherds Pie and she like it. A decent beer selection and really great Wisconsin style cheese curds. I gave it a three star only because I don't like large groups of people and the day we went it was very busy. I should also mention that the staff worked hard, kept up with the crowd, and were friendly.

    (3)
  • Sabrina D.

Pretty busy, but got us in quickly. Great service, good selection of food and drinks. Mac n cheese was yummy, monte cristo sandwich was AMAZING--totally decadent and sinful! Had a salad too that was huge and yummy. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I had a late lunch at the Irish pub. We chose this shop because of it's location and the typical Irish look. The service was excellent and the food outstanding. The Irish Reuben boxty is one of the must haves accompanied by a creamy and slightly foamy dark Guinness on tap. Mandatory stop next time we come to town

  • Mark T.

I'm a New Yorker and I'm visiting. La Crosse Wisconsin for a tourism conference. Dublin Sq., Irish pub was recommended and glad it was. Sat at the bar for an early beer and dinner and very much enjoyed the Flannigan's draft. This is big for me to say because I love burgers. The Angus burger and fries were the best I've ever had -- hands down!

    (5)
  • Joseph F.

Wonderful Bar & Food. Had the Shepard's Pie - Outstanding. My companion had the Walleye - again great. Matched with a couple of Guinness and it made for a wonderful time. Got there early on a Friday night. By the time we left there was a longish wait for tables. Nice location - just a couple blocks up from the River.

    (5)
  • Rebecah M.

Nice outside area. Average downtown bar. Really good mushroom sauce on the chicken. The colcannon (mashed potatoes and cabbage) is so good. I know it may sound weird, but give it a chance. I also really like that you can get mixed vegetables instead of a fried side.

    (3)
  • Amy P.

Awesome food & atmosphere! One of my favorites in downtown la crosse. A must try is the walnut burger. Delicious!!!

  • Rodney H.

Dublins is by far the one of the best pubs I have been to in decades, the customer service and food are great. I would recommend this place to anyone!

    (4)
  • Thomas A.

Friendly, helpful staff that is attentive without being overbearing. The inside is smoke free, the music is at a nice level where you can hear it but it doesn't overwhelm. Serves food. Quite a few beers on draft. Really have no complaints at all. I'll be coming back!

    (5)
  • Kristin R.

The food alone renders a 5 star rating. I got shepherd's pie & my bf got corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was so tender and the veggies were good too. The shepherd's pie was awesome. I can't wait to go back before we leave town.

  • Jennifer U.

This place serves consistently delicious food and drink. It can be crowded around busier times downtown, but it's a must-try for those who like comfort food mixed with a distinctly Irish flair. The reuben eggrolls are a tried and true fave, the Guinness gravy is out of this world, and the Black Velvet drink (Guinness & hard cider) is nothing short of delish. Everyt'ing is Éire here, mon.

    (5)
  • Doug M.

It's a rare and wonderful thing when a good kitchen, good staff, and a good bar come together. The corned beef is (really, it is) the best I've ever had. The people are friendly and attentive. In a town full of good restaurants, Dublin Square stands out.

    (5)
  • Brent B.

Had a burger with bacon on sourdough bread and Fries.....burger was not good at all:-( Let's just say the fries were the best part about my experience..... Service was terrible from my waitress!!!!! Waited 12 minutes just to get a pop after being seated and the place wasn't even busy at that time!! Waitress was busy talking with other employees and not doing her job. I will not go out of my way to eat there again!!

    (2)
  • Shannon W.

Great good! Excellent Fish & Chips.

    (5)
  • Peter F.

Good cheese curds, expensive but tasty and gourmet. Go in knowing a couple beers and curds will set you back $25 with tip.

  • Chris D.

Was visiting family in the area, and they took me here as it's one of their favorite places to eat in La Crosse. I can see why. I am a big fan of Reuben sandwiches, and this is one of the best I've had. Superb corned beef and trimmings, and great mashed potatoes on the side. Very filling. And we started our meal with their famous fried cheese curds. Quite pissibly the best appetizer I've ever had! Not a huge fried greasy foods guy, but these are made of quality cheese, melted just enough, in a suprisingly light batter that is just right. We shared the basket, but I think I ate most of them! We sat in a back room with an awkward set-up, between the bathrooms and some Gambling machines, so that wasn't the best, but the food was absolutely amazing. Great waiter, too. If you're in La Crosse, eat here!!

  • Terry Scott N.

Dublin Square is a traditional new age Irish Pub in the heart of La Crosse, the epicenter of bar culture as we know it. I went here for a burger with my lady for lunch. For the main dish we did the build your own burger option. For drinks we had tea and a beer. The happy hour price was all right, something like $0.50 off all drinks. The burger was surprisingly well done-I mean it was huge, juicy, and delicious. The atmosphere was quiet (around lunchtime), maybe business casual, and the staff was very friendly. We left happy, and the bill didn't drain my wallet. Go here for a business lunch, casual date, or family dining. I would like to come back in the summer and utilize the patio.

    (3)
  • Justin I.

Kind of fell in love with the corned beef and cabbage. I didn't know cabbage could be so darn good. The shepherd's pie was also excellent. Very much enjoyed the patio seating--outdoor seating is very hard to find in the downtown area.

    (4)
  • Jeff P.

My wife and I stop in frequently. Good beer and drink selections and the food is some of the best in the area. It gets busy, but it's worth the wait! My favorite is the Monte De Carlo sandwich...., go with the syrup and enjoy!

    (5)
  • Jeré L.

Staff is a bunch of kids and they sometimes get things wrong but its not disasterous. They're friendly etc. I ordered a walnut burger once and the young waitress informed me that it had walnuts in the ingredients. Ha. Overall, good food. Nice staff.

    (4)
  • Rick L.

I've eaten here a couple times. The food was ok, but nothing to be excited about. I'm not a huge Irish food fan, so this may not be the place for me. I found the food was quite greasy. I mostly stuck to burgers both times I visited. I thought they tasted fine, but was expecting a bit more flavor. The cheese curds are not true Wisconsin cheese curds like you expect to find in the area, but greasy batter-fried chunks of cheddar cheese. I have friends that really enjoy the food here, and I'm sure I'll be back, just not as my 1st choice.

    (3)
  • Megan W.

Probably one of the best restaurants in La Crosse! I don't think it's too expensive, average price for La Crosse.

    (5)
  • Mike R.

Good drink and atmosphere is just great. Happy hour specials are second to none. If your in La Crosse don't pass this one up!! You won't be dissapointed

Started out having a wonderful dinner last night. Then the obnoxious witch next to us started smoking her e CIG and ruined my meal. She had the servers permission even though I told them not to do it around me. She may as well have just taken a crap on my plate.

    (1)
  • Maggie S.

Great food but the last time we were there we had pretty shoddy service. The host didn't seem to know how long the wait would be, we were told 20 minutes, then 40 and then when I pointed out three open tables we were seated almost immediately. We weren't given menus or a high chair until the second time we asked, and we waited far too long for drinks and for the food. Thankfully it was a gorgeous day, so sitting outside wasn't so bad. The previous times we've been here we had no problems with service, and like I said the food is pretty great. Love that they serve walnut burgers!

    (4)
  • Johnny W.

I am a huge connoisseur of fish fries. The fish & chips here rank among the best I have had. Love the burgers also. Great curds and love the Bangers & Champs are also great. The bar has a huge selection. The Irish whiskey choices is a sight to see. If you can't choose one, have several

    (5)
  • Allen L.

Loud, wasn't expecting typical sports bar Bangers & champ - greasy sausage sliced up in some mashed potatoes. could have been much better. Fish n chips - typical bar fare, greasy and under seasoned.

    (2)
  • Michael B.

The corned beef and cabbage was perfect and my friend's fish and chips where great. Good Irish fare.

I have been going to La Crosse, WI for about 3 months now for work. Dublin is one place that a co-worker and I go to for dinner and a couple ice cold Guinness's almost weekly. The food is amazing and the owner and staff are awesome. Last Monday my co-worker left his headlights on in the rental and killed the battery. The bartender helped us out by finding someone to cover the bar so he could jump start our car. Thanks Chris! See you in a few days!

Just go! I dare ya lads and lassies. All around delicious. Great Irish drinks as well. Sit outside while you can before the winter comes.

Get the pastrami!!! Smoked in house, it's a truly unique and tasteful sandwich. Nothing like it in La Crosse.

    (5)

Listen to the servers! They gave some great suggestions! Everything we ordered off the surpassed our expectations!

    (5)
  • Erik F.

Was in La Crosse for 3 nights, I ate dinner here for two of those, and I don't regret it. The Sheppard's pie was quite good. the second night I got the Cuban and curds. Let's just say OMG. The only complaint I might have is the pastrami they had on the sandwich was a bit on the dry side. They have some great beer but I would say try the spotted cow. You can only get int in Wi and it is worth a pint or two. I met Tim the owner and he is a great guy and very customer oriented.

    (5)
  • Grace S.

Good beer and mixed drink selection. I like their local brews available on tap. Service was spotty. Lots of teenagers working (mostly standing around chatting at the server station) on a Saturday at lunch. Our waitress was efficient and professional but it took quite a while to get our entrees out. Fried cheese curds were tasty. I enjoyed their fish and chips but my husband ordered a potato pancake with rueben/corned beef which was not very good. The pancake was literally a breakfast-style pancake, rather than a potato latke made from real potatoes. The meat inside was oversalted and overcooked. Otherwise, the location and decor are really nice and I'd love to return to try a different dish.

  • Mary J.

I would love to give 5 stars, but... The hostesses are wonderful. They are sweet, very pleasant and running at 110% trying to seat the waiting customers. The waitresses/waiters are great. They are attentive as they can be with so many people to wait on. The food is, well, I've never had a bad meal here. The main issues seem to be that either there isn't enough staff working to accommodate the customers in a timely manner, the seating area is simply too small, and the guys that I assume are the managers on duty don't appear to ever be chipping in to help the women who are running around trying to get it all done. I also have seen one of the managers leave the restaurant and come back several times during the course of my meal. Is that the status quo? Like I said, I love Dublin's food, and the staff who are doing the work, God bless 'em, they could not possibly be working any harder...but the guys who stand around the bar, or walk through the dining are doing nothing, well, they need to pick up some of the slack. Then Dublin would be perfect. It has all the ingredients to be - but when not everyone works as a team, it really shows.

    (3)
  • Jason K.

Had Molly Malone's Mussels and the cheese curds, which far outweighed my expectations.

    (5)
  • Sarah S.

Pretty good Build Your Own burgers. Enjoyed my meal, even if a little messy

    (4)
  • Mike S.

Slow slow slow service. Stood there for 5 minutes before anyone said anything. They where friendly enough but it appears regulars get much better service. Food ok not great. I would say if you just want to have a drink this would be great stop if you're hungry go elsewhere.

    (2)
  • Brian W.

Great place for lunch or a Guinness on the patio. Best Shepard's pie I've ever had. Clean and classy..and the cleanest bathrooms downtown.

Great food. Love the Shepherds Pie.

  • Tony R.

I frequent Dublin Square often and have always had great service and the food is very good. Reuben Rolls are amazing. Large beer selection. Cool interior. Customize/build your own burger! All this being said, my favorite thing about Dublin Square is that Matt and his team are always looking for ways to improve. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can kick back on their wrap around patio.

    (5)
  • Crista C.

Bailey's Cheesecake with an ice cold Guinness to start!!! Probably one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had! Loved the black and tan onion rings and I don't even like onions! We ordered two of the specialty burgers; one was a jalapeño cream cheese bacon burger which was awesome! The other burger had a spicy Dijon but it tasted like horseradish. Not a huge fan of horseradish so that was a complete bummer. The service was great and so is their happy hour!

  • Nina V.

Holy wah, I loved this pub. While visiting a friend in La Crosse, I was taken here to try some serious (and real) 'cheese curds'...oh. damn. beer battered cubes of sharp, creamy cheddar that beat the pansy pants off of any lame American mozzarella sticks I've ever had. it was a slightly life-altering experience eating the cheese curds at Dublin Square. I ordered the shepherd's pie which was deeelish, though I would have preferred more meat as I like a very meaty s.p....when I order meat, I expect to get MEAT. Both beers drank at DS were great too, and both WI brewed. Service was fast and friendly. Our waitress and I talked rugby, which in a pub, is only right.

What can I say, Great Pub, Great Food, Great Beer, Great Staff, Spent a few nights in La Crosse, Wisconsin and had a couple of great nights there, Was in there on Tuesday night for the pub quiz and the place was rocking, if it's this busy on a Tuesday what is it like at the Week End. You have to try the Irish Breakfast Drink Special, Bacon, Orange Juice and Whiskey not in the same glass I might add. Tim and the staff there are excellent, can't wait until I am in town next.

    (5)
  • Jack D.

I have been in La Crosse for work the last few weeks, and have sampled quite a bit of downtown offerings while staying at the Radisson. Friendly service and good food. Paddy Melt, and Guiness Stew both worth getting, good beer selection. Good place to catch the game (but no Sunday Ticket).

I have wanted to try Dublin Square forever. I have viewed their well-kept facebook page on a few occasions to get an idea for what they serve (they've posted pictures and descriptions of menu items in the past) and it always looked super interesting. I am now a college student who lives in the twin cities, and I finally came here to catch up with some of my high school friends. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening (it was about a half hour wait for a table at 7:30) and the atmosphere seemed fun. The waitresses and servers were bustling about helping customers, and my party and I were excited to finally take a seat and look at the menus. We all agreed: everything looked so great! We loved that Dublin Square serves authentic (or so I think?) Irish pub food and all thought lots of the menu items looked good. I ended up settling on the Monte de'Carlo (ham and turkey with swiss cheese sandwiched between to pieces of fried french toast with powdered sugar and syrup), french fries, and a cup of the soup of the day: chicken and dumpling. The sandwich and fries were $9 and the soup was $3. Everyone else in my party got some type of burger (how boring, right?!). The soup was okay-- I think it's pretty hard to screw up chicken dumpling soup. I was surprised by the clear broth and the presence of only one dumpling, but it was good. It came in a cup the size of a tea cup, which was a little underwhelming. But it was $3 dollars: I won't complain. The Monte de'Carlo was pretty good. It may have been because I was really hungry, but I really enjoyed it and thought the balance of sweet (the french toast) and salty (the cheese and meet) was good. It was inventive and tasted like a good breakfast all wrapped up into one unique sandwich (totally wasn't your typical breakfast sandwich). But, the fries: we all ordered them as our side, and we all got like 5!!! I honestly think I got 7 small fries. They were nothing special. I always think: if fries are so cheap (which they are at most places-- I work at a restaurant myself and know how many we waste) why can't restaurants just be a little more liberal with them?? The plate just looked so sad with so few. We only saw our waitress when she took our orders, brought us our food, and grabbed the checks. She never refilled our water cups, never asked how things were, and we waited for more than 15 minutes after everyone was done to have the table cleared. What's more is that when some other waitress came up to the table when we were done, she started her sentence "we're so sorry...." and we were all thinking, "oh, at least they realize the service was pretty sub par", but she actually was just telling us we needed to move in the next few minutes because the dj was coming later that night needed to set up there. I don't know if there is a problem with management/direction, if the employees were just super overworked tonight, or if we really did just have a bad waitress, but neither the service nor the food we got tonight were anything to write home about.

  • Benn S.

Great drinks! Food was late and cold, but manager apologized saying that this is not always the case... In any case, great place to grab a drink.

    (3)
  • Wisco H.

Friendly service every time. The food is always good. The Monte de'carlow is the best sandwich in town. I've had other dishes there too and they've always come through, but the monte de'carlow is one of those you need to step outside the box and give a try. Especially you sweet and salty fans.

Had a fantastic burger with jalapenos cream cheese, with a perfectly poured half and half made with Spotted Cow. Patio seating right on 3rd street made for a fun night.

Great food. Opens at 11am so you can stop in an catch a proper football match, while still being ridiculed by old fat men who want to watch "baseball or anything more American." Just in case the decor and bartender made you forget you were still in Wisconsin, the locals will bring you back to reality.

Funny, but best cheesecake I've ever had was at this pub.

My dad and I used to go to several places on Friday nights for fish until we went to Dublin Square. Their fish and chips are so good. The breading on the fish and chips is fantastic. It's good without it if you're looking to eat a little bit healthier. They have started offering a unique fish special every Friday. It's always a different kind of fish. All have been good. Try the sweet potato fries or garlic mashed potatoes. Dublin sauce has also become my favorite sauce. You can buy it to take home. I put it on every sandwich at home. It's even good with eggs or anything that can use some flavor and spice. The service is always good and we love the atmosphere. I can't wait until it's nice out again so we can sit outside.

I have been here twice, and both times ordered a walnut burger(from Trempealeau Inn?) with sweet potato fries! Delicious!! Service was great as well.

Still trying to figure out why this place was so busy. Maybe because it was one of the few bars with a half decent food menu? Maybe the patio? Would be two stars if it wasn't for the hand breaded cheese curds which are a good change from the normal heavily breaded frozen nuggets. For drinking, go elsewhere.

Best bar in La Crosse and I'm not from La Crosse so I have no allegiances.

I eat and drink here a lot. The service is friendly and prompt. The burgers are outrageously good but the side portions have been lacking lately. Great selection of tap beer and the reuben rolls are to die for. I eat them twice a week sometimes. Also, they have a great sound system and an amazing digital juke box. The bouncers aren't a-holes; neither are the evening patrons.

Good food, competent service, nice selection of drinks on tap. We appreciated being on the Main street corner of the pub, since it was away from the bar and a quieter dining experience. The onion rings were stellar - they actually induced a craving the following Friday. I had the Irish Stew (tender lamb, good sauce, tasty veggies) and my companion had a hamburger without the bun. It was huge, and very enjoyable. The option to customize the hamburger with lots of options is really neat. The Irish cider beer was fabulous, and the perfect complement to the meal. We'll be back for sure.

They serve McSorleys on tap, that should be a 5 star review in itself. - I am truly happy to see this place open. La Crosse was in need of an Irish pub. They have been extremely busy each time I have been there and are still working out some of the kinks in service, food etc. I have had good food each time I have been there. I actually love the Reuben - pulled corned beef instead of sliced is the way to my heart. I also have tried the Shepard's Pie - which after giving it a good bath in salt, was pretty good as well. This is a bar that serves food, so that should be what your expectation is. That being said, it is a great place for a beer and dinner, a hangout for the professional/working crowd, and will be awesome in the summer. There are very few places in La Crosse, where you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon beverage outside. It is definitely a new fav of ours. And..... if you ever get the chance to go to McSorleys - NYC - oldest tavern in US - GO!!!!

EXCELLENT MEAL....We arrived around 6pm and were told 20 minute wait. It was already crowded, which looked to be a good thing. We hit the bar for obligatory Guinesses' and were seated within 5 minutes. We were greeted and had our orders taken almost immediately from a friendly waitress. More ice cold beer arrived. We each ordered something different,,,I had the the Shepherd's Pie, my buddies had Fish and Chips, a sausage plate, and my other buddy had a sample trio of three different plates. The food was excellent, tasty, and plentiful. My Shepherd's Pie had lamb instead of the traditional boring ground beef which made it even better. Excellent meal overall....We will definitely go again,,,and again...

Some friends and I stopped in to Dublin Square for some afternoon drinks and appetizers while in town on business. We had the Magners Cider, Mc Sorley's Irish Ale, O'Reuben Rolls, and Banger Boats. We all enjoyed the appetizers and thought that the flavors were well balanced and loved the creativity of the two dishes. We looked over the rest of the menu and based on what we had for appetizers we will be going back when we have more time. Another item that I noticed was their creativity in their Black & Tan/ Half & Half menu (Guinness mixed beers), wide selection of tap and bottle beers, and good selection of Irish Whiskeys.

Tried the ribs and burger. The regular steak-cut french fries were soggy and mealy. The sweet potato fries were better. The burger was pretty good. It was a bit overcooked and underseasoned but the second best burger in La Crosse. I will try the burger again with different toppings. The atmosphere was really nice. The ribs were passable. Will go again and try the Irish foods.
